![]() ![]() I've been doing quite a bit of reading into the various types of mouse switches frequently used in mouse. I highly suspect that they changed the switches to some other Omron type (Who knows, maybe the D2F Japanese one) which supposedly is rated for less "Clicks", but are much more reliable? Interesting find though, Quite surprising that the G903 Hero no longer mentions the longevity of their Switches. With that said, it's a pretty delicate operation to do with a gaming mouse. Definitely hope I won't face this issue - But i've bought some replacement teflon pads and omron switches in case I ever face this issue in the next couple of months. Personally I my G903 mouse has not suffered this issue (in the last 1-2 months of using it), but considering the numerous complaints (and some users resorting to switch out the switches with Japanese omron switches because they got sick of replacing the mouse with Logitech every couple of months), I guess there is some weight to those complaints. In any case, just a word of caution for everyone else: be very careful and don't lose your receipt, or you might be in for a really terrible time with Logitech Support and a double-clicking G903. ![]() They won't backdate their warranty to the production date (I assume they are also trying not to back this product where possible lol), even though I explained to them that mine was supposed to be quite a new mouse (the person which i bought this from supposedly got it new in July 2019). Just writing my general two-cents here (and in my review).Īlso, Logitech does not cover warranty if you lose the receipt. I feel this was done intentionally to mislead some into buying the old one, although of course, I can't prove that lol. I voiced my complaints about this to Logitech Support a few weeks back, but nothing was done to update their website. To make matters worse, the G903 With the PMW3366 already made itself a name of being the trigger-happy double clicking mouse, which could fail multiple times within the 2 year warranty period (with some even resorting to swapping the switches out to Japanese Omron switches - I'm already prepared to do that if this happens since I don't have warranty coverage with this mouse) I kinda feel duped into buying this mouse actually: I got this in August from a third-party seller, but because of the other tech influencers already uploading their experience with the New G903 with the HERO sensor (as well as my general inexperience with Logitech's weird naming convention), I really thought what I was getting was the new version, until I read the box carefully and realized i had grabbed the older version (*FACEPALM*). See my website link to compare the box design and even the website of the G903 with the PMW3366 sensor and Hero Sensor.Ĭonsidering that the previous version of the G903 has such poor battery life compared to the newer version (24 hours vs 140 hours(!) between the older and new version), as well as numerous complaints about the double clicking issue on the older G903, I think it's a bad deal to get the G903 Lightspeed even with the "More than Half Price" discount. ![]() I don't play FPS games, but I've come to appreciate high DPI mouse and the additional side buttons - which can be customized to improve my workflow for studying (and even perhaps for work).Īlso, I noticed that Logitech has released the G903 HERO Version in stores recently, but what irks me is the similar naming convention, website design and even the box of the new HERO version, compared to the previous one with the PMW3366 sensor. I just uploaded my thoughts and review of the Logitech G903 Lightspeed Gaming Mouse. ![]()
